Generally, the meetings are held on the third Friday of every month. This is not set in stone, and may vary from meeting to meeting. For the Orlando meeting, we will try to keep to this schedule and will update the site if anything changes.

The reason we chose the third Friday is because we do not want to interfere with any other meetings that may be giong on in the area. 2600 meetings meet on the first Friday of the month and DefCon meetings usually happen on the second Saturday of the month. We want (and encourage) people to attend ny/all of the meetings and with that in mind, are trying to schedule the meetings on different days than existing meetings.

Keep in mind that this is the standard, but each meeting may change their own rules for whatever reasons they choose. Some people may work at nights and schedule their meetings on the weekends instead. Check with each site for details. One reason for a standard date is so that we may also interact with other meetings. We may do presentations over the phone, or Q/A sessions with other meetings and other members of the hacker community. This is easier when we are all meeting on the same day.

Note that we may also schedule special meetings if we have a special guest in town. I would love to have people who may be in town for business stop by and maybe introduce themselves and answer questions or even give a presentation while they are in town. You MUST check the website frequently for these announcements! These may come with only a few days advanced notice, so it is important to check the site frequently.
