The BR407 meeting will be this Friday (02/19/2010) at the Altamonte Mall around 5:30-6:00 PM as usual. Maps and directions are on the site. Note that this site will be going down/changing in the coming month so be aware that the main site is it www.binrevmeetings.com and the BinRev meeting section of the BinRev forums are always the most reliable place to communicate with us.

I still have not given my SMiShing presentation since we keep getting sidetracked with other great content. I can give that if anyone wants. Also, it is getting closer to convention time so will be discussing ride and room sharing for HOPE and DEFCON.

This is a reminder that BR407 has its own official IRC channel and network at IRC.BINREV.NET so hop on and idle with the rest of us.

I usually show up for the Friday meetings around 5:15-5:30 and sit towards the front of the food court so that I can easily be found with my laptop and BR shirt. You do not have to come that early! We have many people who are not able to make it until after work so you are welcome to stroll in anytime that you feel like it! Most people show up around 6 PM and we do not start any presentations until 6 at the earliest. You may miss a few things, but you are still welcome to show up for as long as you can. There is not set schedule or timeline and people are welcome to come and go as they please.

I have been working on an article with fellow member inph3rn0 on random number generation so we may discuss that a bit at the meeting. I also put together a short presentation about "SMiShing" that I will give as well. Be there by 7 if you want to see the presentation.

I also invited some new people to the meeting so hopefully they will show up and bring friends. If there are any other people reading this who are new to the meeting, this is a good one to attend with other new people. All are welcome.

I am out of town all week and will not be back in time for the meeting this month. I usually have someone else administer the meeting in my absence, but it looks like everyone has conflicts this month so we are going to take the month off.
